Mission	This web site exists to provide local information to the residents of Adamstown Maryland and the Adamstown Region of Frederick County.
History	When I heard that Sempra had filed an application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) for the construction of a 600MW Power Plant in Adamstown I was concerned. Then I found that the only information about the proposed plant was available from the Sempra web site, At that point I decided to put up my own web page to provide information as I saw it about the proposed plant and the process. I also thought that this site could be used as a community resource - thus was born Adamstown.US
Goals	Be an information resource for people of the Adamstown Maryland area. Host pages for a limited number of local non-profit organizations Present my view of issues when appropriate Provide for the free exchange of ideas and information about the Sempra/Catoctin Power Plant through the open mailing list.
