Opening Remarks

The meeting began with Mark Nelson from Sempra giving a short overview of why we were gathered - i.e. to continue to delve into the issues that have been brought up by the community and continue to the next level of detail with some of the issues raised in the May meeting and in subsequent conversations.

He also discussed the issues they were having with getting information posted to their web site.  [Luckily we don't have that same issue]

He touched briefly on what the various Sempra attendees would be discussing and some general items.

He also said that they were willing to discuss ways to determine what our air quality really is in the area.  They realize that it is a legitimate concern that we have, that they have not been required to address during the regulatory process, but they are willing to work with us to see if there's a solution. [More on this in the Air Quality section]

[My impression is that he is willing to provide whatever information he can that would make us feel more comfortable about the plant.]
