Adamstown was definitely the victim of a small tornado that caused some damage to a few homes and put a scare in us all.

The tornado hit our area at about 7pm on Friday the 17th cutting a path from just south of Adamstown Road and east of New Design toward the north.  It seems to have crossed over New Design Road right about the New Design and Manor Woods intersection continuing northward on the west of New Design Road.  It then crossed Ballenger Creek Pike just south of Elmer Derr Road, then crossed Elmer Derr and continued out of our immediate area.

The tornado seemed to only be on the very eastern edge of the wall cloud as it passed through the area, as the wall cloud extended eastward from the area the damage occurred to about Carroll Manor Elementary School, a distance of about 1/4 of mile.
